Awareness Speculative Design
My bachelor project "Plastic Humans" addresses microplastic pollution in the human body and its potential impacts. In a speculative scenario, it demonstrates how microplastics slow down the decomposition of the body after death and release harmful substances into the environment.
To prevent further contamination, the remains, including microplastic particles, are analyzed and transformed into solid sculptures or innovative urns. Through an advertising video and an accompanying website, the concept is presented in a realistic manner to raise awareness and encourage viewers to engage with the invisible threat posed by microplastics.
The goal of the project is to make this abstract topic tangible and to foster discussion about the effects of microplastics.
